It is in 1857 that the town was founded by the English before being named resort some years later. The African Institute for Mathematical Sciences

Founded in 2003 in Muizenberg, South Africa, the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences was officially installed in Cameroon 7 October 2013 in the town of Limbe. With a capacity of 50 seats, the institute hosts students from more than 15 African countries.

  The botanical garden

Limbe Botanic Garden was created by a German in 1892 on an area of ​​52 ha as a test garden to acclimatise in Cameroon plants like quinine, rubber, coffee, cocoa and banana. He also served as a training center for Cameroon in the fields of agriculture, horticulture and forestry.
